Hey, I’m Dan, and I’m thrilled to introduce you to the brand-new Schools’ Active Community Coach platform.

This venture has been a long time in the making, drawing on over 16 years of experience as a PE and Community Lead in multiple primary schools. Over the years, I’ve built a personal brand focused on creating active opportunities—not just for pupils, but also for staff, parents, and the wider community.

In 2021, I founded the Community Interest Company Teachers’ Run Club, bringing school staff together through a shared love of movement. TRC has enabled me to connect with hundreds of teachers and school staff from across the world, and it was the final piece of the puzzle before putting the wheels in motion to launch the Schools’ Active Community Coach platform.

My flagship offering within this new venture is a user-friendly portal packed with a full year’s worth of active initiatives that you can implement in your school right away.

Across the platform’s resources, I guarantee you’ll find at least one idea per half term that will help reduce staff workload, boost your charity fundraising, or inspire creative ways to engage your whole school community in activity.

But the platform goes beyond just the portal. I’m also passionate about supporting the wider school community by:

  • Supporting small local charities, helping them build closer partnerships with schools to increase their reach and fundraising potential.
  • Collaborating with community sports clubs, encouraging them to rethink how they currently engage with schools—helping to bring more active opportunities to pupils while also keeping these essential clubs alive.
  • Working directly with schools, offering both virtual and in-person consultation on developing a whole-school active ethos, as well as longer-term support over a term or academic year.
  • Advising businesses whose products can support schools in an active way—helping them understand how their offering fits into the education sector, how it can increase physical engagement, and how it might even make teachers’ lives a little easier!
